Advanced RPAS (Drone) – Search & Rescue

Service Description

The student will possess the necessary knowledge and skills to support search and rescue (SAR) efforts to locate missing or injured persons and/or domestic animals or wildlife. The training program is developed in compliance with the requirements of Standard Test Course for Urban Search and Rescue for Unmanned Vehicles (NIST). The course content covers: Overview – search and rescue techniques Forward Looking Infrared Radar (FLIR) technology Introduction to flying SAR grid patterns Practical flying exercises – day Practical flying exercises – night Imagery interpretation and dissemination
